Sizing is inconsistent

I liked the shirt material and color pattern, unfortunately sizing is not consistent. I normally take extra Large shirts, this extra large was much too small. so I orered 2x Large which was much too big. It supposedly is just one size difference, but I can almost fit 2 of me in the 2x Large, but x Large is too small. Too bad it's a nice material.
