Deceptive labeling

This product is NOT vegan. Real slick lettering. Now I'm going to triple check the pea powder amino acids listed on the back I have been ordering for years. If you are a plant-based connoisseur, do NOT purchase this product. BAA'S are made from human hair and duck feathers etc.

You’ll be happy to know that our BCAA powder actually IS vegan. Because of the pandemic-related shortages in raw materials, we have two distinct sources of BCAAs used in our products; one that is vegan from a fermented source and the other extracted from duck feathers. Only the fermented material is labeled as vegetarian/vegan, which is true of this product. We take care to use separate ingredient numbers for the two materials and to specify which one can be used in a master formula for any specific product by listing only the appropriate one. In this case, since our label claims it is vegan, only the vegan BCAA material was used. Also, the amino acid profile listed on our Pea Proteins is from the peas themselves, not added BCAAs, so these amino acids would be vegan. Any product label would have to list added amino acids separately in the ingredient listing, per federal regulations. In the future, please contact us directly to check on our products, rather than relying on third-party websites that may not be accurate or up-to-date.
