Solid Matte Lip Balm

The shade of this lip balm was a little too orange and did not compliment my skin tone. The matte effect is super strong if that is what you like, but I do feel that it dried my lips out too much while wearing it throughout the day. This is a solid and affordable choice for a matte lip balm that stays on consistently throughout the day.

I’ve been wearing the NYX Smushy Matte Lip Balm in shade 01 and it’s that easy, throw on and go kind of lip product I love. The texture is smooth and cushiony, not dry or crusty like some matte formulas can be. It gives a soft matte finish that looks effortless and feels comfortable on the lips. Shade 01 is a really pretty everyday color that works with a full face or no makeup at all. I love that it feels like a balm but still gives you that matte look. Perfect for running errands, filming content, or just keeping in your bag for touch ups. If you like low maintenance lip products that still look put together, this one is definitely worth trying. 💕

Amazing product, horrible smell.

Love the way it applies, feels, and looks! The smell is downright offensive, though. If you've ever wanted to eat a food scented candle, then this would be a 5/5 for you. If the product were any less amazing, I wouldn't be able to get past the smell. It truly is a testament to the fantastic texture.

Cute and comfortable

This is a perfect everyday lip balm with consistent color! It provides comfortable wear that doesn’t settle into the lines and creases on the lips. A wide range of colors are available for any time of day or special occasion. The tube is cute and compact and the contents inside do deliver with color pay off with a matte appearance while still providing hydration. Definitely will purchase more colors!

Held me down all summer!!

This is the perfect every day lip balm! The pigmentation is consistent and allows for the product to be worn on its own or complimentary with other products. I love pairing it with the NYX lip oil and liners!

Good balm with color

This is a happy between gloss and chap stick with the bonus of giving some color to bring some life to your lips! I love the formula, it’s smooth and creamy without settling into creases or bleeding out. It doesn’t last all night like a matte stain but it leaves some color behind. I love it for concerts because it lasts for pictures giving some moisture but it slowly fades without notice leaving a little stain behind. It’s definitely a hydrating factor to it, but not over the top. Just enough to give some give between. Over all it’s a nice balm, perfect for low key make up looks to bring some color into your life.
