Did not like and returned. Too large a pot is required to use these cups. This is the first and only of many OXO products that I have that I have not found successful.

I tried the yellow egg poacher this morning (May 25 ,2024) and it worked fine (with twin eggs in one eggshell!) I hope to use it more from now on. I have yet to try the mortar and pestle that I purchased from Macy's but it looks good and sturdy.
Love Me Some Poached Eggs
I really love a good poached egg. I order them often when traveling. Not too many folks know how to do them right. Now I can cook my own with this awesome silicone poacher set. I should have ordered another set. Thanks for a great , easy to use product. Keep up the great work.

Not what I thought.
I thought this would make a “pretty” poached egg. This doesn’t work they way that I thought it would.

Great product! Works Eggcellent!
Easiest way yet to poach eggs perfectly. Love the easy cleanup and compact storage (they roll up and may be nested together when not in use.)

The Best!
I love soft boiled eggs!!! I have tried numerous “guaranteed “ to work items, that didn’t. These made me throw them all out!!!!!! They are amazing!

Works well when combined with other techniques
If you've looked at reviews for this item, you've probably seen a lot of complaints about the egg whites floating away. This can be an issue depending on the eggs you use, but I found swirling them in a fine mesh strainer to get rid of all the loose whites fixed this. Unless your eggs are very fresh, you'll want to strain them. Giving the water a bit of a swirl when pouring in the eggs seems to help, too. The water still ends up cloudy, but the resulting eggs are poached perfectly. Another common complaint is the amount of water you need to boil, especially if you want two eggs. Instead of using two poacher cups in a large pan, I use a single one in a sauce pan with just enough room around the cup to be able to swirl the water with a spoon handle. If I want two eggs, I just put two into the same cup at once! If your eggs are very big, maybe you'll have problems, but regular large eggs work great. They don't join together or anything, and the shape actually seems better than doing a single one at a time. I've tried combining the mesh strainer and water swirling techniques before without success, but adding this egg poacher to the mix seems to be the answer. I'm now able to quickly and reliably poach eggs, even when they aren't the freshest. Give it a try if you're struggling.
