Beauty in a jar

Meh

I really wanted to like this product but it leaves an unsightly white cast on the skin like other lower end spf products. Was also very thick. Disappointed overall. Packaging was attractive.

Slow to absorb

Petrine MD is such a luxurious moisturizer! It’s so moisturizing. It softens your facial skin and it feels so nice once it’s absorbed in. It does take quite some time though to absorb. It really have scent per se, just a plain lotion smell. I love the SPF factor as well

Great skin finish, but the texture takes some work

I received this product for free from influencer and review so here’s the tea. Right out of the gate I didn’t love this product. The first time I applied it, I was in a rush at the office and didn’t realize how thick the formula is. You really have to take your time and rub it in very well or you will be left with white cast (think Casper the ghost). Lesson learned: apply carefully and double check in the mirror to make sure everything is fully blended. That said, once blended in, my skin actually looks really good. It smooth over my pores, especially around my nose, and it gives my skin a soft, blurred look that almost resembles a very light foundation. Because of that, I actually prefer wearing it on no makeup days. The texture still feels a bit thick and slightly sticky on my oily skin, and I’m not convinced it would layer well under make up for me. But I really like the way it makes my skin look, which is why I’m giving it four stars instead of three. It’s not completely perfect, but it’s definitely nice for those natural no make up skin days. I love all the ingredients and of course the sun it’s not overpowering. It’s nice and light

Moisturizer

I’ll be honest, this Neuropeptide Rejuvenating Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 wasn’t my favorite. It’s basically zinc oxide, which felt thick and cakey on my skin. For me, it’s yes to zinc oxide at the beach, but no for everyday wear, especially in the dry winter months.

Added SPF

I recently received this Perricone MD moisturizer with SPF. What I liked- a moisturizer with added spf because I am trying to prevent sun damage. What I didn’t like- it has a smell that while it’s pleasant, it tended to bother me a little. It also didn’t seem to absorb well into my skin, therefore not moisturizing very well. In all fairness, I have extremely sensitive, dry skin. Overall I think this is a great product, but just not for my skin type. Maybe for someone with normal/combo skin.

It smells really good but it stings my skin

Perricone MD and Influenster sent me a complementary jar of this sunscreen/moisturizer to try for my honest review. I liked the fragrance and how it put a buttery layer on my face. My main concern was that it stung my face a little. I am not sure which ingredient(s) did that for me, but I do have very sensitive skin. I really want to like it because of the texture and fragrance. However, based on the way it stings my skin, I will have to wash it off after doing this review.
