Defective Lens and No Support

I am extremely disappointed with a pair of sunglasses purchased on March 28 from Macy’s app. The glasses were a gift for my wife, and due to weather she did not use them until recently. When she wore them for the first time last week, we noticed a manufacturing defect: one lens comes loose from the frame. This is not due to misuse, wear and tear, or damage. It is a defect that existed from the beginning. After discovering the issue, I contacted Macy’s customer support by phone seeking a solution. I was told nothing could be done because the return period had passed. While I understand standard return policies, they should not apply to defective products. Customers should not bear the cost of manufacturing flaws. Macy’s should stand behind its products and provide a fair resolution, whether replacement, repair, or refund. I am disappointed this has not been handled fairly. A defective product remains defective regardless of when it is discovered. This is unacceptable and needs action
