Doesn't show the precise location on the motorway, doesn’t track the vehicle in motion. Complete waste of money and they are making you buy two! Avoid.

Just to clarify, Roam is an item tracker designed to help locate luggage, keys and other belongings using Bluetooth-based finding networks. It isn’t a live GPS vehicle tracker and therefore won’t provide continuous real-time positioning while a vehicle is moving. Was very pleased with 2 trackers I've got from the Kickstarter campaign and, as I needed more, it was no brainer to got Roam again. For me the biggest pro is that it doesn't need an extra carrier/cover to attach to my dogs harnesses directly. Somehow we keep loosing nametags a qr-code tags that dangle from their collars, but now I finally have some reassurance. Successfully use it for other stuff too. Hope it's going to work successfully for many years to come.

The best trackers around
I'm very glad that I supported Roam through its Kickstarter campaign! Initially I ordered one, but then I added another one because it's packed with features and works beautifully with my android. In my case, they are mainly used for luggage when travelling and, more importantly, to give me peace of mind by putting one of them next to my videography gear when on a job!

Small but hardly useful for pets
Hard to track animals although the size use ideal tor cats. Unless you live in a very busy urban area the signal can hardly be picked up. Also, the QR code on the outside is very tricky to scan from the start and mine washed off in two weeks. So nobody who finds my animal will be able to check the page with my personal contact info. I'll use it for something else, but not for my pets.

You’re right — while Roam’s compact size makes it ideal for many use cases, its performance depends on the strength of Apple’s or Google’s Find My network in your area. In dense urban regions, these networks are incredibly active because so many nearby devices help locate your tracker. In rural or quieter areas, the signal updates can be slower — this is a limitation across all Bluetooth-based trackers, not just Roam but same with all other smart tag or smart trackers. We’re sorry to hear about the QR code issue — that definitely shouldn’t happen. The QR is designed to be laser-etched and durable, but our first production batches had lighter ink adhesion that could fade with heavy washing or exposure. We’ve already switched to a more permanent UV-cured coating for improved longevity. If yours has washed off, please reach out to care@roamsmarttracker.com , and we’ll be happy to replace it. Unfortunate bug
It's a shame the tracker often starts beeping on its own. One of the trackers I received has poorly printed QR code, but I did not intend to use that.

Tracker stopped working after a few weeks
Of the two trackers, one just died after about 2 weeks of use. Support are quite slow to respond so no idea what the nest steps are.
