While the light/medium color palette was right for my fair skin, I didn't feel it had enough pigmentation. The highlight was also not nearly as shimmery or shiny as I prefer. This is definitely a formula that NEEDS well-hydrated skin + primer to perform its best. I would try it again as it wasn't a bad product but there are dozens of better contour palettes available. User friendly
I have been trying to up my makeup looks, specifically contour as I am 26 and have really never been able to contour before. This palette makes it incredibly easy even for people like me who rarely use makeup!! Following the steps and shades I was able to make effortless looks that lasted well into the night. Perfect!
This contour set matched my skin tone perfectly! They all blended so well and set beautifully on my face. The powders are light, and look very polished once blended. The palette itself is also fairly compact and easy to stuff in my purse. Overall, I'm happy and so is my husband….that I can lay my head on his shirts without leaving my face behind. Easy to Use and Gives a Natural Sculpted Look
I really enjoyed using the Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit. I mostly use it in the morning when I'm getting ready, and sometimes at night for special occasions. The formula feels very smooth and lightweight on my skin, not heavy or cakey at all. It blends easily and allows me to build the intensity depending on how natural or glam I want my look to be.
