Great features and compact

Purchased device primarily to copy podcasts from PC so as to listen to them offline in the gym. It is extremely compact, light and very easy to operate so works perfectly for my unique requirements.

One of the best

I have been using digital recorders since the Sony ICD-SX25 and the ICD-UX570 is definitely one of the best. I mostly use the recorders for outside nature sounds and the 570 is very impressive. I would like to request a few features, found on other models, that would make this recorder even better. Bring back the DPC function to include the pitch control. Make the easy search function controllable like on other models. I definitely prefer the multi folder menu as seen on the ICD-UX533 it’s much easier to navigate. Although the LED display is very clear and easy to read indoors it is unfortunately useless in sunlight, if a remedy for this is possible that would be great.Thank you for a great recorder and I am looking forward to the next model.

good quality and long battery life

I use it to record myself reading and it's great, I think sound quality is excellent for the price. I paired it with a lavalier mic and a pair of external headphones (both Sony too). Built in speakers are not the best quality, but it's a recorder so I didn't expect anything exceptional. When first bought I let the battery run out and then charged to the full and it has lasted for about a week with a 1-2 hrs a day recording time, but I think it could go longer, because I record a few sentences and then stop and listen and then again so I do a lot of button pressing.

the only issue is about the 'sound organiser 2', the menus are so tiny in 3840*2160 and I cannot see them.

Loses date and time constantly

If the device ever loses charge, the date & time changes to year 2041 and I no longer know the date and time of my recordings. Sick of resetting the time.

Easy to use and great quality recording

I purchased this to replace my ICD PX-333 which I have used for ten years. Obviously technology has improved over the years and I am very satisfied with the quality and features of the UX570. Having a built-in USB is a great feature and the fact that this is a rechargeable device will save me money on purchasing batteries,
