Impossible to get tags off

They are pretty, and I like the lace, but the tag is sewn into the lace. I've never cut myself with grooming scissors before trying to get a tag off. I was trying to focus on not cutting the lace, and poked my thumb instead. I'm not badly hurt but I had to get a band aid.
