Not meant for skinny calves

I got these in brown and black because a lot of reviews said they were perfect for skinny calves. Well I have skinny calves and they just looked awkward and oversized. The curve in them to accommodate the calf is a bit dramatic and silly looking in my opinion (see photos). Also, one of the brown boots had either a large glue spot or just a rubber raw area on it. They even had little bits of what appeared to be grass on them when I took them out of their packaging. Returning both.

Pretty comfortable, but I just got them. I hope they last! The qualitiy seems decent but not for the price.
