I was sent these by Influenster. They are effective. The have a layer on the back that blocks incoming light. Since the layer is white it reflects back sunlight also making the room cooler. Easy install, just slide them onto the rod.

4 months agoA Great Light-Blocking Curtain!
Thank you Influenster and Sun Zero for sending me this product in exchange for an honest review. These blackout curtains are exactly that! They block the light very well! These are currently hanging in one of our bedroom windows and it looks very nice and keeps the sun away better compared to our other brand curtains. In the last photo, a flashlight is being shown directly against the curtain and you cannot see the light through it at all, only from the sides which were lifted from the wall. The material is very nice, not too thick to make the curtain rod bend but also not too thin to allow the light through. The curtains have a nice sheen from the inside and is a nice neutral shade which helps open the space while keeping the sun at bay in the morning. The grommets are smooth as well on the rod and do not catch. It is a breeze to close these. Overall, I would recommend these curtains to those who need complete darkness to sleep!

I absolutely love these blue curtains! The color is even more rich but soft in person exactly what I was hoping for. They add a lovely pop to the room. The quality is excellent as well. They're thick and do a great job of blocking out light, which has made a big difference for sleeping in and keeping the room cooler during the day. Packaging was neat and secure. Overall, I'm very happy with this gift and would definitely recommend these curtains to anyone looking for a stylish and functional upgrade.

These curtains are great. The definitely blackout the sun. I use them outside for my gazebo. Perfect fit and very easy to install. The grommets are sturdy and strong. The curtain material very made well and I am not afraid of tears.

Shoddy
We had high hopes for these blackout curtains. However, as soon as we took the first one out of the shipping box it was evident that it was a very shoddy product. The main curtain was incredibly flimsy and the so-called blackout lining was not only flimsy, but had holes in it. When we held it against the window, streams of light came in from multiple holes in the fabric. Macys should be ashamed of itself for selling such a shoddy product. We will be heading off to Macys to return these curtains later today. Advice to other shoppers DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY CURTAIN.
