Warm & versatile jacket

Although the jacket doesn't seem to be thick, it insulates well and keeps you warm. I really like that I can take out the insulated layer and only keep the outer, waterproof layer.

you need duck feather down or some type of cashm

this jacket was too sweaty, remember polyester does not breathe. better if you had duck down or feather down or with cashmere and wool lining,. this jacket is overpriced,. if you want the best get Loro Piana or Thom Browne or Ralph Lauren purple label

Just about perfect !

Perfect coat for a student or apartment dweller with limited space as it can basically be worn year round as a winter coat / spring and fall jacket /summer or raincoat. You can also layer under the shell with a down vest or coat for extreme weather

Just couldn’t warm up to this jacket.

I had high hopes for this jacket. It had received such great reviews, but in the end it was overpriced for the features of the jacket. Maybe it was not intended to use it for typical winters in the northeast. Living in PA we get typical cold winters. I wore this on a 35 degree night in December for 2 hours. I was cold all night. Maybe this was made for warmer temps, but I had expected more from The North Face brand. This was purchased on sale for what I thought was a fair price, but the original price of $300 is steep for this jacket. Macy’s return process was great!

It was a gift to my grandson, he did not like it, too small and not warm enough. I returned it.
