Magic and love. Love and magic. They destroy everything in the end …'Anna's Aunt has always warned her of the dangers of magic. Its twists. Its knots. Its deadly consequences. Now Anna counts down the days to the ceremony that will bind her magic forever. Until she meets Effie and Attis. They open her eyes to a London she never knew existed. A shop that sells memories. So Much Fun You Can't Stop Reading

This novel encompasses an entirely original brand of magic and the witch community to which many of the characters belong is also extremely innovative. There are so many fabulously creative details about this world. And I have never read anything like this book despite the fact that I read constantly. I love all the characters. Anna, the protagonist, has such a difficult life with her Aunt, and this evokes so much reader sympathy. The book is engrossing from page one. If you love fantasy, especially books about witches, you cannot miss out on this book. Do not be intimidated by it's length--you will wish it would never end.
