Tom Ford perfume

I recently tried Tom Ford's Mandarino di Amalfi perfume, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Compared to other TF scents this one is lighter, but just too strong and heavy for me. I really wanted to love it, but it was just too much.

Simply the best

Mandarins smell unlike any other citrus fruit. Cradled inside their zesty, bright aroma is a sweet orange blossom, and this nuance gives mandarin essence complexity and richness. (For fragrance nerds: this orange blossom note is given by methyl anthranilate, an aromatic compound also present in Concord grapes and wild strawberries.) Because of its sweetness and juicy effect, minus the strident sharpness, mandarin is used in many fragrances as a top note. It’s inviting and refreshing, and it works in many different contexts.

Summer breeze

I absolutely love this one! I would have given it a solid 5, if it would last longer. I would definitely buy again.

Italian Seaside Bliss

I can imagine this fragrance blowing around in the warm coastal sea air of Amalfi. Tom Ford did a fantastic job in the design and it was executed flawlessly. It's citrusy, but it also has herbal tones that radiate throughout the life of the fragrance. This is a great summer scent for a man or woman with moderate projection and longevity. My BFF said it leaves a really nice scent trail and now she wants to buy a bottle for herself. I personally get about 6-7 hours of wear before it transitions into a skin scent and that's pretty darn good. I don't wear fragrances for compliments, but it's a compliment getter. I think this would be a good office friendly fragrance, and more suitable for warmer months and I'd say it's more of a daytime fragrance. If you'd like an uplifting ocean fragrance that has a few unique twists, just check out those notes, I can definitely recommend this to you. I'm pleased to own a full bottle and it's a really great addition to my collection.
