Awesome Sony with big Bass and crisp sound

Amazing sound and fantastic bass. Usual legendary Sony build quality with a clever design where the strap attachments can be hidden in the case. Bluetooth connection is fast and flawless. The speaker is impressive looking with interesting ULT button. Highly recommend this Sony speaker, I've tried many others and this is far superior. The battery life and portability is awesome and the fact that it's also waterproof extremely useful.

Surprisingly rich, detailed, natural sound !!

Have tried a few bluetooth speakers over the years and never been impressed - Sony had a summer deal on this model, so thought I'd try again. It's never going to compare to listening to a hifi product, but very pleasantly surprised with the quality here. It's very well built and heavy - straight out of the box with ULT on, the Ult 3 gives a very good, rich, highly detailed sound - too many untis now are either bass heavy or have no bass at all - the Sony has ample bass (in no way wallowing or over powering) but it is the vocals and detail that set this speaker apart from the competition. Vocals are very natural and there is huge amounts of crisp detail here ... absolutely no eq'ing required. I don't listen at very loud levels, but this unit will ge loud without any strain, but the sound does tend to harden up if you go too loud .... hardly surprising really, its a relatively small unit ! I'm delighted with the ULT 3 and can thoroughly recommend it ..... and great Sony product in our house :)

Sounds great but poor documentation and has a mic

So this is really a 5 star product all but for just a couple of minor niggles : documentation and instructions are awful; only after registration do you get an email with how to access all the features and as for specs some tiny writing on the bottom of the box about battery life is about as good as it gets but the key thing is this is supposed to be a speaker so why have a microphone... ostensibly its for hands free calls but personally I don't like that privacy inclusion one little bit. Other than that it sounds amazing for its size and for background music on a beach, bbq, or dinner party its just right. Okay its not hifi but for a tiny portable device it really is remarkable.

Exceptional audio experience!

Crikey! A wonderful sound experience. I love amapiano and this speaker is perfect for the pops etc. The bass is next-level, too and the battery life has been exceptional. Crisp, clear and punchy.
