Poor battery
Brought this about 6 weeks ago . It said normal battery life 7 days . Not true I'm charging it every day since updating if I knew that I wouldn't have brought it .

Ok for a simple smartwatch but no Vivoactive HR
I bought this to replace my Vivoactive HR, which I had had for over 9 years. I did my web research and was repeatedly told that the Vivoactive 5 was the best replacement. But after a week of using the watch, I realised it was not even close. I am not a runner, I do more hiking, mixed sports, kayaking, and climbing. The features I love about the Vivoactive HR are completely missing from the 5. No stair sensor, no altimeter, and no calorie tracker. Multiple websites, including the Garmin website, did not provide this information. Oddly enough, it took a long conversation with ChatGPT to work out how to actually compare old Garmin watches and new ones to get the complete comparison of watches. At the moment, I am using the 5, but as soon as I can find a replacement that has all the features, compactness, small face, and battery life of the Vivoactive HR, this 5 is going up on Marketplace for sale.

Response from Garmin
I understand the frustration with this concern with the vivoactive 5 and the activities you want to use this for. I would recommend our Venu 4 which I have linked below. http://ms.spr.ly/6422sx1UY
It tracks my workouts really well
My parents surprised me with it because they love it, I didn't think it would be amazing or anything but I love being able to track my health and it has really helped me figure out when I'm going to have asthma attacks.

My watch
I have had this watch about 2 weeks I thought it would do blood pressure but it doesn’t I’m not a fan of the face other than that it’s good

We appreciate the review! At this time, none of our watches can record blood pressure. If that's something you're interested in, I suggest checking out the Garmin Index BPM.
Perfect from every feature.
This smart watch is amazing, especially for helping me keep my health in tac.

Great Activity Tracker
This tracker does what I want to to do. One exception is the sleep tracker. It is too sensitive to movement! If I am not conscience of being awake...why does it say I am awake? I normally am sound asleep with in 10 minutes of lying down. I am asleep about 9:30 every night and wake up about 5 or 5:30. Once or twice a month (like last night) I was asleep about 9:35pm, woke up at 5:30am, my watch said I went to sleep at 12:31am, was awake for 1 hr 6 min. For a 3 hr 53 min of sleep. This is depressing! I am an active 78 year old and will not be tired today because I had a good nights sleep which the watch did not record properly.

Sleep tracking can stop, or miss times if your watch detects enough movement. If there is enough movement or your heart rate is elevated the watch may not see that you are asleep. In these instances you can edit your sleep time within Garmin Connect: support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=qvpxqWtnKfAu2SOmRRhrY6&productID=894039&searchQuery=sleep%20tracking%20&tab=topics&textPage=1
