It is sharp and very much the quality I expected from item made in a reputable country like Germany. Just to compare I had bought same brand set J.A. Henckles international brand set which is not made in Germany, and what a difference, with this one you don't have to even apply much pressure when cutting and chopping, where as the J.A. Henckles international brand one, you have to push/apply pressure on the knife in order for it to cut/chop the item. So my advice is save your pretty penny and but the one made in Germany. I just wish that every item is made in Germany, Italy or the USA, countries known for paying attention to detail and quality.

I have had a set of Henckels for approximately 20 years and decided it was time for a new set. These don't appear to be of quite the same quality however they good for the price/discount. The blades are quite a bit thinner than my old set but function well. Overall, I am satisfied with this set.

Awesome set. There are, of course, more expensive knives but as far as feel, balance, and most importantly, cutting, this is the best knife I have ever used.

Truly enjoy using these knifes. Very sharp. Have them for more than a year now. Use them everyday and they hold up very well.

Lightweight knives, very sharp. Bought one knife open stock & quickly decided to buy set.

My husband has been bugging me for quite some time to get a good set of knives for the kitchen. Finally I purchased these and he refuses to let anyone touch them. They are so sharp and wash up wonderfully. Will definitely by more pieces to the set.
