Does Not Nest
Love the pans but the 3qt doesn't nest ino the 4qt, which is really really annoying. It just takes up more storage space than necessary. They could've made the 3 qt narrower or the 4qt wider. Why would someone design a set of pots this way? Obviously someone who doesn't work in a home kitchen. Yes, I should've checked the dimensions but I got the 4 qt first and was so happy with it that I just bought the 3qt. Dumb move on my part. I give it 5 stars for the pans themselves and 1 star for the stupid design. Why?

Panning this one...
I was excited to find this 3 quart saucepan for a reasonable price. With regret I have to say it is a disappointment: - poorly balanced and quite awkward to handle as it is also quite heavy - the handle is really uncomfortable as it has a deep split rather than a smooth surface so the edges dig in as one lifts it. Why on earth make a handle so unpleasant to use!? I retrieved my old Belgique 3.5 qt pan from the donation bag. Although the bottom surface has a bump due to over heating in its many years of service it is far preferable. I will be returning the Henckels saucepan. Cooking utensils are tools and this one is not staying in my humble kitchen where I expect my equipment to serve its purpose, not cause aggravation.

Great quality
Great quality and perfect size to cook for 2 people. We have a couple of sizes of the sauce pans and frying pans and love cooking in them.

Pleased thus far
Best pan I have ever found to cook sauces and thick whole grain cereals without the usual sticking and burning. I’m tired of non stick coated pans that wear out in a few years. Therefore, I wanted a heavy gauged stainless pan that didn’t stick. This pan was a bit expensive but worth it if works better than any other so called top brands I’ve purchased.
