I don’t think it’s a piece of junk. Some of these reviews are pretty harsh, considering you get what you pay for. It’s MDF and clearly states that every where. Should it come scratched? No. Ours had a small gash on the underside and my husband used some wood glue and it’s fine. But that’s just it. It’s okay. It’s too small for our u-shaped couch so I need to return it. That’s my issue. Macys contracts out and now I can’t return it to Macys. It says free returns, but how where? Now I have to research how to return something that I should be able to take to Macys and be done with it. I love the look of the furniture, but it came with a defect

Arrived Damaged

I was hoping that the scratch it arrived with was on the inner part where it wouldn’t show but unfortunately after finishing the assembly it was right at the top of it where it’s very visible. If it arrived damaged already what can one expect for durability.
