Surprisingly easy to set up. Light enough that I can lift and move. Of the 12 tension settings, I started with 6. Perfect. Arms and legs benefitting already. Excellent purchase.

Loses resistance

As in the nature of hydraulics, as the liquid in the cylinder gets warm it loses resistance. I have been using it for up to 1 hour at a time. I have to start on 8 to get any resistance and by the end of the workout I have to be on 12 to have less resistance than starting on 8. Oil gets thin when it warms up, so it makes sense, but if you want something that gives a consistent workout, this is not it. No issues overall, just this problem.

Limits to usage

So far it’s a pretty solid machine. It was easy to put together. It’s light and compact, easy to use. But we’ve already experienced squeaking in the hydraulic shaft. Trying to figure out how long it can be used. So far we experienced the squeaking at 30 minutes and once at only 10 minutes.

Great price, great compact machine

Love this little rower. It might not have exactly the same full range of motion as larger/more expensive models, but the price is great and it fits into small spaces (it's in the foot of space between my bike and my treadmill), so the convenience factor gets it 5/5 stars. The resistance adjustment is easy, and the resistance goes high enough for a really tough workout.
