Beware, not worth your time.

I was able to connect to the projector 3 times. Now, I cannot connect at all. The support is comically bad. I just want to return the product now but I cannot get connected with the correct person. The dumbest part? It is a Projector, and all it will do is play music. Something I never wanted.

Great while traveling

It’s great for having a smart media experience on the go. I do wish that some of the halo effect was minimized as that distracts from the quality of the projection. I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery to make it truly portable at that price but it’s great for quick setups while traveling. Love the smart functionality of it though.

In need of update and better value proposition.

Unfortunately the freestyle 2nd Gen is no longer a value proposition. The technical specs are OK for what they are but we need a 3rd generation now with updated technology and competitive prices. For a 3rd of the price I recently purchased the NEBULA Capsule Air and that one has an integrated battery, half the weight and it is running GoogleTV. My unit broke just before the warranty was supposed to end and I was really happy with the Samsung Support. They are very responsive and actually received it for repairs twice. The Samsung support team is the reason why I am giving it 4 stars today in April 2026, otherwise the technology offer and the price are completely out of touch with the market trend.

Great picture quality and projects the sound well

The Freestyle has great sound and such clear projection. It's very simple to set up and it's portable. unique design encompasses the Freestyle 2 quite nicely.

Just Ok

I was really excited about getting the freestyle. I love Samsung products & I needed a solution for a small bedroom with limited Wall space. This was the perfect solution, but overtime im feeling that it's not quite living up to my expectations. Because it is a small room im not able to set it up directly across from the screen so I wanted something with auto Keystone. The freestyle does tht but it'll also "move" the projection after turning it back on even if the projector isn't moved. It'll either go small/large & off screen moving the picture. Also, it's stays slightly out of focus. It's not a sharp clear image. I try auto focus but it says there's an error, so I use manual but it never gets quite clear. It "resets" settings periodically unlike a TV that's just stays. There's also some instances where the projection is a little dark for dark movies & it can be loud esp if the room is quiet.
