Not worth the money!
Bought in October, opened and started using after kitchen remodel in December. Hard to read the water gauge and set time. Coffee spills easily as other buyers reported. After only a month and a half of regular use the descale light appeared. Went through the process and the light never went out. Then it just wouldn't make coffee. Returning.

Lasted 14 months
I bought this coffee maker a year ago December. It wants to be descaled constantly even though we use filtered water. We have used it once daily up until yesterday when it started leaking and gurgling (water in the line). What a waste of money. Even a Mr Coffee lasts more than a year! That said, it did make excellent coffee while it lasted. :(

SMEG Coffee Maker
I like the style and look of the SMEG brewer and the wide variety of colors to choose from. I chose white to match my larger appliances. I also like the brew intensity feature that lets me choose a darker brew. Overall I’m very pleased with the quality and look of the SMEG brewer.

SMEG poor quality. worse customer service.
I bought numerous SMEG products including toaster, kettle and coffee brewer, for my kitchen because they look nice but I will never purchase another SMEG product again. The coffee maker is a highly flawed design. It leaks all over from the top dome vents, sides and bottom. The descale light comes on frequently. It is very difficult to get all the water into the reservoir without a giant funnel. I did contact customer service and they were incredibly rude, completely untrained and was unable to answer any questions about the products. I did de-scale but because the unit is so poorly designed, it is impossible to get all the de-scaling fluid out of the unit. I do not recommend SMEG to anyone.
