Don't Buy It!

I have used Cuisinart for years. Previously I have had several DGB-1400 BCPC Series Burr Grind and Brew ... with 1/2 pound bean storage and loved it. Have even gifted them to family! This new automatic grind and brew is far inferior to the original. To many parts to load and clean daily. I give this model a -10!!!

Grind and Brew coffee maker

I will say we like the coffee maker but there are a few draw backs I wish Cuisinart would address.1. The LED light on the front is too done bright it lights up my whole kitchen I have to put a towel over it at night. 2.No matter how slow or fast I pour coffee the pot always drips onto my counter. Other then those reasons I say buy it the coffee is always Hot.

my 12 cup grind and brew coffee maker

This is my4th Cuisinart 12 cup grind and brew coffee maker, and the first with replaceable stainless steel blades instead of the stone grinder. I love the fact that I don't have to turn the unit around to clean and fill it. It'll take awhile to get used to the different grinding noise, but it's fantastic that I don't have coffee grounds in my coffee cup and decanter. GREAT GREAT Product!!!

Loose grinds on lid of basket holder.

Bits od grinds are found on the basket holder after each use. This makes it messy to clean. I bought this model because I had bought one for another house 2 years ago. That one does not have this problem.
