Not the same as the old Zwilling / Hinkle
This item is better than the skin scissors quality but still not remotely as good as the scissors we bought in Germany in early 2000s. Not sure why it’s so inferior to the older models.

Feel dull and leave ragged edges on the nails
I purchased these scissors to replace my lost nail scissors. When I used my new Zwilling scissors for the first time to trim the fingernails, I was greatly disappointed with the scissors performance. The blades felt dull and left ragged edges on my fingernails, so I had to file the nails thoroughly to remove the raggedness crested by the scissors. Their design felt awkward. I felt they were uncomfortable to hold in the hand and trim the nails. My spouse tried the scissors for trimming his fingernails and said they felt dull to him too. It was an unpleasant surprise to me because I have purchased many kitchen knives from Zwilling in the past and was quite happy with the knives's quality. So I did not expect a subpar performance from their scissors.

Excellent quality nail scissors
Excellent quality but I was disappointed that it was not made in Germany given the cost. Hopefully, the durability will live up to the Zwilling brand. This is the reason I gave it a level 4 instead of 5.

Bought Again
I originally purchased these amazing nail scissors in 2008. In 2018 they broke at the sauter point and for the past 3 years I bought other brands but none compare to the excellent steel and design of these Zwilling J.A. Henckels nail scissors. So I had to buy the again ~ gladly.

Extremely sharp, pointed and accurate. Takes a bit of skill to use it, but well worth it. I think I’ll be using this for years and at this point would by again.
