Milk scorches

I’ve been using this pot mainly for boiling milk for porridge since March 10, 2025. I found that milk in this pot quickly scorches every time. But more recently I realized that it first boils & scorches in one relatively small area (see picture). This being the case, I’m thinking that it’s a defect, otherwise it would scorch all around the inside of the pot. Then it needs to be thoroughly scrubbed with a stainless steel pad.

Cuisinart 1-Qt. Stainless Steel Saucepan with Lid

This Cuisinart 1 qt saucepan is very sturdy, excellent quality and easy to clean. I especially like the measurement line inside the pot. Would definitely buy again, in other sizes as well.
