Breville blows away the competition
We've gone through numerous toaster ovens over the years, and this is our first Breville. Wow! It beats every other brand by a country mile. Large enough inside to handle big cooking and toasting jobs, yet takes up no more counter space than most other models from makes like Cuisinart, Toshiba, Black & Decker. Yes, the Smart Oven Air Fryer model we chose is much more expensive than its competitors, but so far it exceeds them in every way. It cooks evenly, gets food very crispy on the higher settings, and the air fryer is so fast that fried foods are finished efficiently and perfectly. Plus, it's easy to keep clean, and its cooking tray and crumb tray are made of high quality metals that need minimal effort to keep them looking like new. We're very impressed so far with our first Breville purchase.

Excellent Quality—A Fine Product
I am so very pleased with my Smart Oven/Air Fryer. I took into account the negative and positive reviews on this product before my purchase and I can truly say that I am immensely satisfied with the quality and operation of the appliance. It toasts beautifully and within a reasonable time—2-3 minutes. I am still getting used to the air fryer function but am pleased with the results so far. I have no negative comments—it is a fine product.

Breville’s Smart Oven Air Fryer is really smart
Breville’s Smart Oven Air Fryer in Damson Blue was a beautiful upgrade to our countertop right out of the box. The ease of use of the large variety of functions is literally a touch of a button made doubly clear by an illuminated panel making selection easy. From being able to make muffins to cooking the perfect roasted vegetables, it quickly and efficiently outperforms our professional grade propane oven.

Door Issues
Great oven aside from some over/under-engineering on the door which leads to some issues. First, had to send back our first oven for a replacement because the door gasket was not installed properly so could not close the door. Now with the new oven, the magnet that is located in the middle of the door to help pull the rack out when you open the oven is not engineered correctly, it lifts the grate at an angle that causes the grate to get caught when sliding back into the oven. The result is that the door gets essentially jammed every time it is opened/closed while the grate is in the middle or 'toast' position. Googling this led me to many posts and reviews where people are experiencing the same problem. Good idea in theory but poor implementation in practice.

We're sorry to hear of your experience. While the Auto-Eject feature is meant to pull the rack out, the door is not meant to be used to push the rack back in. Just reach out if questions arise.
