Tongs work well

These tongs are just the right length for greens, chopped veggies, pickles, etc. They fit easily on a small plate or tray and store well when not in use. The scalloped edges mesh well so you're not dropping bits everywhere and the hinged end closes and locks easily. For the price, you can't go wrong.
