I bought this product and it doesn’t fit in my car correctly, the straps don’t fit will on child, and one side is always tighter than the other.

Wouldn’t buy this

Flimsy styrofoam headrest broke within a few months of buying it.

great seat other than the cup holders

I got this carseat a few months ago and it has been a great seat other than we took it on vacation and since the cup holders do not securely lock in place they fell off and out of our gate check bag for the carseat so I no longer have them and can't find a place to re-order another set

Great slim car seat that grows with your child

I am a mom of 3. We have had 4 different kinds of car seats and this is by far is our favorite and I will tell you why. The ulta-slim design allows us to maximize our space. With other car seat brands we typically lose a seat. We have finally found a car seat that allows us to fit 3 kids in the back of our vehicle. I love that this grows with your child from birth to age 10 with three modes of use: rear facing, forward facing, and belt-positioning booster seat. The cupholders come out and are dishwasher safe which makes it so easy to clean. The installation is usually something that I leave up to my husband but with this seat, it was super easy to install and I had no problem doing it myself. The padding seems to be very comfortable for our child. Within the first week, my child had a spill in the car seat. I was very surprised at how easy it was to take apart, clean right in our washer and dryer, and put back together. I highly recommend this product. Luxurious yet compact all-in-one car seat!

When I first opened the box I could was very pleasantly surprised--the colors and fabric felt and look very luxurious! The seat is cozy and comfortable, albeit compact. My toddler instantly wanted to try it out. He's on the chubby side so I would say it's snug, but he was comfortable! I really like the double built in cup holders, which are super convenient and hard to find with some of the more narrow seats. This seat fits 3 in a row with my older daughters booster seats in our Honda CR-V and Pilot, which is a major plus for us. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this all in one car seat!

Nice All in One Car Seat

I was given this all in one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My daughter loved the soft material of the car seat. It was fairly easy to install and easy to buckle. I like the way the car seat adjusted. We used the 5 point harness at first but decided to use the seatbelt after a few uses. I love the adjustable cup holders! Once locked, they stay in place. I like that I will be able to take them out and clean them! The car seat does seem very slim. My daughter is average size but I'm afraid if she grew much more she would run out of room. It just feels tight on her hips but she hasn't mentioned it. With that said, the car seat does feel really well in the back seat but it could be an issue later.

Safety with Comfort

I just want to start off by thanking Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to review the Safety 1st Trimate. I was already looking around for a new baby seat given my daughter has outgrown her first one and I'm so glad I was given this opportunity to review the Trimate. Right off the bat when I unboxed the seat I could tell it was comfortable with all the soft padding. The instructions were easy to follow the install process and having the option to do rear face or front face was also a huge bonus. My daughter is at her stage where she has to have her sippy cup with her at all times and having cup holders was a bonus for her. I can tell safety was a huge priority with the seat given that a came with two different safety latches and they stress that padding should be removed if used face forwarding. Overall I love this seat for both it's modern style as well as the prioritization of safety. Although I was given this item to try for free I looked up the prices and it is extremely affordable and worth the cost given its safety enhancements as well as how stylish it is.

Great Slim All-in-One Design

I was given this all-in-one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, it's a great, inexpensive option for a car seat. I love the lightweight and slim design. My 3-year-old tried it out rear-facing in our SUV and she seemed pretty comfortable in the seat. We did the install with the seatbelt and it was easy to figure out and install quickly. I like the versatility of the seat and will also be trying it as a booster for my 6-year-old daughter. It's nice that the seat will work for our newborn from birth through elementary school. We also can fit this seat three across in the back row with the slim design. This will be convenient once our fourth is born. The only downside I see so far is that the seat makes a rattling sound when driving in the rear-facing mode. It's due to the tether and belt pieces hanging down that are used in the forward-facing mode. Overall this is a good seat at a nice price point that will last for years.
