great seat other than the cup holders
I got this carseat a few months ago and it has been a great seat other than we took it on vacation and since the cup holders do not securely lock in place they fell off and out of our gate check bag for the carseat so I no longer have them and can't find a place to re-order another set

Nice seat for some families
I received this car seat through Stellar Product Testing Panel. My favorite things about this car seat are how lightweight and compact it is, making it easy to move from car to car. We'll be using it as a backup seat for grandmas and aunts so its design is ideal. The size is nice, too, it can easily fit into a sedan. My husband likes it better than our other seat because of how slim it is. While all these things are great, we aren't able to use it rear-facing for our toddler. My kid is 2.5 years old and long. I would like to have her riding rear-facing for as long as possible. She's too long for this seat, so we had to turn her around. That's OK with me on occasion but my preference would have her rear-facing, as she is in her current, everyday car seat. For this reason, I wouldn't use this as an everyday seat. Additionally, I found the latch system anchors to be a little basic - big hooks, which do the job, but are hard to open and close. I couldn't tighten the belt as easily as I would have liked either. Installing a car seat is no joke but I definitely worked up a sweat trying to get this thing level and safe. I imagine this will work well for a booster seat and I'm impressed we'll be able to use it for so long. However, I'm pretty rigid about my car seat standards and this one doesn't quite meet my expectations. I gave it three stars because for some families I imagine it could work quite well but, for me, it's not what I'm looking for in an everyday seat. I would recommend this seat to someone who plans to have their kid turned around earlier.

Slim Comfortable Attractive Carseat
First of all, getting this seat out of the box it was very attractive. The colors and fabrics looked like a higher end seat. The cup holders are pretty nifty too with the easy twist and lift detach. The seat did feel a little less solid than others I have but we haven't had any actual issues related to that. Installing the seat was a little tricky but eventually we were able to get a good snug install with both the latch connectors and seatbelt. Getting it back out was a little harder. In general I tend to have a lot of trouble with the seats with the push button buckle type of loosening function. With three kids, it's important for a car seat to meet our needs while being compact enough to fit 3 across and this one fit the bill! I tested this seat with my almost 5 year old and 5 month old and they could both fit in it with the easy no re-thread adjustable harness. My 5 year old said it was quite comfortable. There is a piece located behind their backs that sort of accordion folds down to allow for the adjustment. The one thing I didn't love was the way the straps loosened. The straps only loosened slightly from the top and then also loosened from the sides. This did make getting the 5 month old in and out a little trickier than I would have liked. I couldn't figure out how to fully loosen the straps until they were all the way unbuckled which was just a little awkward and different from what I was used to. I would compare this seat to some other light/affordable seats that we use for travel. Just based on where our kids are in terms of types of seats right now, I don't think it will be our every day carseat. This is mainly due to the trickier install compared to our click in and out baby seat and the way the straps loosen from the bottom/sides. For the price this seat is a good deal and we plan on giving it to the grandparents for use when they are watching the kids. Slim & Easy to install!
I was so excited to hear that the Stellar Product Testing Panel was offering for me to try a car seat, right before our cross country vacation! We were prepared to bring our current car seats but traveling with 2 kids under 5 and 6 adults can make for a tight squeeze when switching vehicles between stops. This Safety 1st Tri-mate seat was incredibly easy to adjust and install. It came with everything needed for newborn +, but we were able to modify it easily for our 2 year old to sit in. I absolutely love the adjustable headrest with the handle and that it moves the shoulder straps up without having to re-thread them whenever my child grows or changes seat direction (rear facing to forward facing, etc). Of course the lower buckle could still need adjusting to the appropriate belt path but this makes things so much easier. My daughter didn't seem to mention any discomfort in this seat. She has mentioned lower back discomfort in other brand seats that we already own. This made me happy especially traveling from NY to CA for vacation. There was plenty of room between her seat and my sons in the second row for a petite adult and probably would've been more room if we moved her to seat to the middle. My only "downside" would be the easily removable cup holders. I was so excited about these when it came to ease of cleaning but a little less excited when my newly two year old was throwing them all over my car! Love the idea but maybe they need a pin to secure them along the bottom to ensure they stay put. All in all, so far, so good! We appreciate Stellar Panel giving us the opportunity to test out this seat! I'm excited to see how my kids like it as they grow and change even more.

A nice seat
I recently received this car seat to try from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have a 5-year-old who is on the small side. She hates the buckles on car seats, so we tried the booster set up for this carseat. She was very excited about it because the seatbelt could be used instead of the car seat straps. I am unsure if this is an issue related to my car or just the way that the car seat and seatbelt happen to work together but the seat belt does seem to lock up on her a lot.I think she still likes the seatbelt option better than the buckles though. It's just something of note. Set-up wasn't too bad. Honestly my husband read through the directions and it took him a few minutes to work it out. I think in terms of space, it does take up slightly less seat space. I know this only because when it's time to buckle her in, I am able to find the seat belt buckle next to the seat without having to dig around for it. I think with other car seats I have struggled with finding the buckle because it would fall under the base of the seat. But that didn't happen here. I really like that the cup holders are removable and can be used in the dishwasher. The only downside is that they are too easy to remove to the point where they have fallen out and one has been lost already. Overall I think it's a nice seat that is versatile, but with a few areas where I think there could be improvement.

Good Quality Car seat
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this convertible car seat! This car seat was quick and easy to install in my husbands older vehicle with a lap seatbelt. We are using this as a secondary car seat and love that it is easily convertible as we have 4 kids under 4. We can easily adjust it to whichever kid needs to sit in it. This car seat is high quality, is easy to take apart for cleaning, and has such a beautiful color! The slim design did not detract from our toddlers comfort; she seemed to love riding in it and even fell asleep during the drive.

I bought this product and it doesn’t fit in my car correctly, the straps don’t fit will on child, and one side is always tighter than the other.
