Recliner not functioning
The seat can not recline per advertised which makes it very difficulty for my 5 month old sleep during a ride due to the lack of comfort and proper support for my baby
Keeps little one cool
We bought this a few months ago because our 2 year old was having heat issues in a normal car seat in the southern US. The Pria Chill was an instant night and day difference in comfort for our daughter and she went on and on about how “this seat keeps me cool”. She complains when she’s in another car seat now. The only complaint I have this that you can’t turn the fan on manually, it only runs when the sensor thinks it should. Our little one runs hot and has asked several times for us to turn the fan on because she’s warm but the car seat hasn’t decided it’s warm enough to run the fan yet and we have to explain to her that we can’t control the fan. The on/off switch in the power cable is only to turn the system on or off, not the fans themselves.

A must have
I brought this for my 7 month old who is a “hot “ baby. He is always sweating. This is worth every penny! It has fans and keeps him cool!

A cool ride for your little one
I was privileged to be able to test this car seat before it was released to be purchased. It's been a blessing to our family, especially in the toasty summer months.The car seat meets all your functional car seat needs while having added benefits, such as the easy-to-use fans that help to keep your baby/child cool. The fan speed automatically adjusts based on the temperature of the car. The seat is powered by a cord that plugs into your car adapter. (Note: if you only have one socket, this does mean choosing between using your cell phone charger (or other devices) OR having the fans plugged in. This is one of the only inconveniences i've noticed about the carseat.) Some of my favorite features include the convenient side slots provided that hold the straps in place when loading or unloading your little one. I use these almost every time I load my one year old and it truly does make my life easier. My other carseats require me to significantly loosen the straps to keep them out of the way or to hold straps to the side while loading/unloading. This carseat also has an easy headrest adjustment feature and provides other nice benefits such as having a fully washable car seat cover and washable cup holders that twist to remove. (My son still has not been able to remove them on his own which he does in one of our other car seats.) This is a car seat that would be particularly helpful for families living in warm climates and for those using the carseat rear facing without rear air vents in your vehicle. (I do not have rear air vents in my car and this definitely gets the cool air moving faster.) If it gives you comfort to know that your child has cool moving air drifting around them, even on a hot day, and you want a generally well designed and and thoughtfully crafted car seat, this seat will meet your needs.

Amazing for the hot summer months
This product was amazing for the hot summer months in the south. It's also cozy and my child has enjoyed it as the months get cooler. Absolutely love this seat.

Overall a very nice car seat with addt features
I received this carseat as part of the Stellar Panel to supply honest feedback. Being a STM I have to compare with what I know from my previous child which is the very popular G brand. The install was very similar...I wouldn't say EASY, but it wasn't ridiculously difficult. Hubs felt the adjustable headrest handle was not as smooth/easy to raise and lower as the G brand, but not bad. The material/fabric does feel plush/luxurious compared to the other brand, but I miss the liquid level. I feel like I'm more eyeballing it with this one. Now the magnetic chest clip is awesome! But for some reason the clip holders on the sides don't seem to be working for me (which was one of the cool features of this carseat that I was looking forward to....to hold the clip/straps aside while you get baby in). I also find that the finger control to loosen the straps is a little more awkward than G brand. Now the main feature of this carseat is the built in fan. As you can see from my pictures it plugs into your 12v which Im lucky to have behind my center console not far from the car seat (I would not have liked it if I had to string wires all the way to the front of the car). Since I live in a state where you have to bring your own shopping bags I cover the cord with my bag of bags as shown (to prevent my older child from pulling it out when he's climbing into the back seat). It's winter here so only a few opportunities to see the fan at work (when the heat was blasting in the car). It kicks on automatically when it detects a certain temperature. I personally feel it's a little loud but it didn't seem to disturb my sleeping baby. As a slightly anxious person I kinda worry about electricity and the carseat though I know it's passed safety tests...so not sure if I really need this feature...but ask me again in July when its a million degrees outside and I may think differently. Overall its a well-made car seat that seems luxurious and my baby seems to like it. ??

Awesome car seat with great features - you won't regret it!
I really love this car seat. This will be our third Maxi-Cosi car seat (in three kids) and I've had nothing but good experiences with this brand. This new Maxi-Cosi Pria™ Chill has all the things I love about my original Pria™ (comfortable padding, high safety rating, good quality materials) and adds some great features like a magnetic chest clip, built-in strap holders, breathable fabric, and ventilation fans. We moved to South Carolina last year and the summer heat is no joke. "Hot" is my 2 year old's #1 complaint in the car, so this fan system is such a useful feature for us! I found this seat to be easy to install both rear facing and front-facing. The LATCH clips are easy-release and the straps are simple to route through when making adjustments. And, if any challenges or hiccups arise during install, Maxi-Cosi offers a virtual car seat appointment to get questions answered and provide peace of mind for a proper install. Once I got it installed, I routed the fan cord down the front of the seat, under the floor mat, and up to the center console to plug in. It was really easy to tuck away. My favorite feature is the magnetic chest clip. It makes buckling and unbuckling super easy without sacrificing a feeling of security - it clicks on tight! It did take me a few tries to get good at the unclipping, but now it comes easily. Overall, this is the same high-quality seat that I know and love from Maxi-Cosi with some added "cool" features that make life easier - a total win for me! Of note, I'm a NICU nurse so I am very familiar with fitting newborns in car seats and it is NOT an easy thing to do in some brands/models. The Pria™ Chill is recommended down to 4lbs and I feel confident that the provided newborn inserts would make this possible, so this seat could be used from the very first ride home from the hospital. I was given this all in one car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.

Comfortable for My Little One
I currently use this for my 5 month old and he has loved it. It's comfortable for him and he doesn't seem to get hot in it like our other car seat. It was easy to install and get him in and out. I especially like the magnetic clip.
