Adding grippy yoga gloves does help reduce hands from slipping on the mat. In turn, helps keep focus on the positions. I did not rate these gloves 5-star because they do fit looser on the hands, especially in down-turned positions the fabric slips and tightens between knuckles. They also add a warmth to hands which brings on a sweat inside the gloves. These are a great accessory to use, but occasionally on days you feel they may help hold positions that work.

I use these for strength/plyometric workouts, for things like pushups, planks, etc. The grip is great but they do get a little warm and make my hands sweat. So far, it's been worth it though.

Assessment of gloves
Gloves are pretty, warm & they have good grip. It makes lifting weights a lot easier. You must wear gloves to handle weights & hold yourself in positions for yoga to spare wear & tear on your hands & fingernails.

They are ok
They are like knit gloves with grippers and the finger tip cut off. I would have liked something with more structure.
