I bought the pack for its simplicity and range. I love the size of the mesh water bottle sleeves, as they fit a blender bottle or 32oz Nalgene just fine. I’m not a fan of clamshell, so the laptop sleeve does exactly what I need (16” laptop). The scratch resistant front pocket is a great feature for sunglasses or cell phone and the exterior straps work well to hang shoes, jacket, blanket, etc. Big fan!

I bought this for my daughter starting college in the fall. She has been using a Nebula for the past three years and although still loves that pack, saw this pack and liked it. She raves about it, it is as comfortable as the Nebula and has place for everything. I think she going to use both for her Vet Science studies, one for school and the other for time in animal studies. It is a high quality, well designed pack and comfortable to boot.

Best Bag Ever
I really like my Proxima 30 not just because I bought it at a nice price but also I've been using it every day for work, biking, hiking, international traveling and working out. It's actually my first Osprey bag and I fell in love with the brand now.

Really spacious pack with an
Really spacious pack with an awesome amount of different pockets and well thought out design features. The only downsides are that at 30l, a second chest/waist strap would be nice and that it is impossible to fully unzip the main compartment when the side straps are buckled.

TL;DR: Love this bag, would recommend to anyone looking for a clean-looking bag for weekend trips / office. Requirements: Can hold all my stuff for a weekend trip, short hikes, and going to the office. 30L felt like the right size because I often pack more than just the basic essentials Needed an elevated laptop pocket because I was using this to carry my macbook to the office A reliable warranty policy in case it shows unexpected wear after a year Use: Mostly what I mentioned in requirements, plus some trips down to the beach. Pros: I love the simple look of the Proxima. No long dangling compression straps, and if you close up the front it looks really nice. Lots of pockets inside to hold my wallet / keys / money / pens / medicine. There's also a couple flat pockets in the main component where I sometimes put my kindle Very comfortable on my shoulders My big water bottle easily fits in the stretch pockets on the side Overall really good build quality: the zippers are heavy-duty, no shifting of the padding in the shoulder straps Cons: My shoulders and back definitely get sweaty after carrying this around for a while on hikes
