It is easy to setup and the sound is just awesome, even without the optional add-ons. Music, movies and dramas all sound great on it.

Sony Theater 9 Soundbar + SA-SW5 subwoofer

The sound from Sony Bravia Theater 9 Sound Bar with SA-SW5 subwoofer is surprisingly good. With good quality sound recording, the HT-A9000 can make both movies and music listening very enjoyable. Its a good product.

Not a good product

I bought this sound bar in January and I have had a problem registering it. I have a Sony Bravia 9 tv that I can not pair with the sound bar

To resolve the pairing issue with your Bravia 9 TV, please ensure the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI 3 (eARC/ARC) port on both devices and that "Control for HDMI" is enabled in the TV's Bravia Sync settings. For registration, we recommend using the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app on your smartphone; if it fails to detect the bar, try a quick power reset by unplugging both the TV and soundbar for 60 seconds, then moving your mobile device closer to the bar during the setup process. Top quality

So far so excellent. Pairs perfectly with the new Sony Bravia 8 II which itself has a good sound system. As an avid movie watcher the Theatre Bar 9 is extraordinary. Watched Dune as the first movie - lights out - OMG. In the Cinema experience.
