Plastic Band, Covered in Textile

The band is textile over a hard plastic ring, and the textile started fraying within days of first wearing it. I bought this on sale for almost 2/3rd off the list price, and gave it as a Christmas present. Within days of first wearing it, the clasp portion had rubbed through the material, revealing a hard plastic band underneath - almost like a high gauge weed whacking line. I would not recommend. Even at the sale price it’s expensive, but at the list price it’s not even close to being worth that much.
