Backpacking favorite
I really enjoy this jacket. It is warmer than I had expected in such a light weight jacket. The fit is perfect and on colder temps I can wear it under my puffy jacket. It comes clean and holds together when washed. It has become one of backpack favorite.

Great purchase
This jacket fits great. It’s great for cold weather. I bought it for running in the park. Everything about it is terrific except the ginger collar appears to be much brighter on my laptop and on my phone then it is when you see the product in front of you. I wanted something bright orange so people see me. It is not a dealbreaker, but potential buyer should be aware that the orange is more muted than it appears to be on the website. That’s why it is 4 instead of 5 stars.

Great Jacket
Great jacket. Light weight but warm and comfortable. Smooth sleeves so you can easily layer it over a fleece. Windproof, too.

Mildly Disappointed
I am a huge fan of Marmot and own more products than I can count but this jacket is just okay. Would be better with a hood and a bit fuller cut. I will wear but not as much as I planned (walking in wetter weather with temps in 30s-40s).

A Lightweight Powerhouse for All-Season Adventures
I picked up the Marmot Novus LT Jacket during a sale, and overall, it’s been an excellent addition to my layering system. As someone who appreciates bold, vibrant gear, the color is... intriguing—somewhere between yellow and orange, without fully committing to either. It’s the only thing I wasn’t 100% sold on. That said, function outweighs fashion in the outdoors, and this jacket absolutely delivers where it counts. The Novus LT is impressively light and breathable, yet still warm enough for high-output missions in cold conditions. The PrimaLoft® Silver Active insulation works like a charm, keeping me warm even in damp or wet environments. Unlike down, it doesn’t lose performance when moisture creeps in—a huge plus when you're breaking a sweat on alpine starts or unexpected drizzle hits mid-route. Marmot nailed the design here: flexible ripstop fabric, gusseted underarms, and articulated elbows give it a great fit and full range of motion—ideal for climbing, hiking, or ski touring. Pockets are smartly placed, and the drawcord hem keeps cold air from sneaking in. Marmot has always been a go-to brand for dependable quality, and this jacket is no exception. Whether you're using it as a mid-layer under a shell or rocking it solo in mild conditions, the Novus LT punches way above its weight.

My favorite jacket of all time.
It's light, it's warm it's stylish, it's got 3 pockets! However, I use it between 40º - 60º weather and if it gets any colder it's light and thin enough to layer a hoodie under or a parka over it. It's versatile and made with quality.

Fantastic travel jacket
I needed to replace a lightweight down jacket for travel. I wanted something synthetic this time, understanding I'd have to take on a little extra weight and bulk. I have a Warm Cube Novus that has thinner panels and hood and hoped this jacket was all that material. I was right! I can't imagine a better replacement for my travel down jacket. Thin, light, but just as warm. Marmot is one of the few brands that still fit my barrel chest and shapes the shoulders well enough so the jacket doesn't ride up with my arms up. Body of the jacket isn't too wide or boxy in proportion to the shoulders. Fabric is nice and soft, but I have just a minor worry that it won't hold up. Fits perfectly over a thin fleece and under a rain shell without getting too bulky or restrictive. Doesn't pack into its own pocket, but I have plenty of pouches and it gets pretty small when stuffed.
