Bad design for sandal bottoms tracks dirt all over

I bought these 2 months ago before a Kayak and biking trip to Norway. They are very comfortable and look good. Despite that, I would NOT buy again- the bottom is so grippy that it catches and sticks with mud, leaves, sticks, grass, etc. that you can't wipe off so you wind up tracking inside. Very unsatisfactory even though they were on a good sale- probably because of this.
