Very Slippery. 😢

Slipped like crazy on icy sidewalks in MN. Didn’t help at all.

6” women’s nylon ankle ice boots

I wanted to try the 6” nylon ankle ice boots because I love the 6” deck boots I wear almost daily. They are very comfortable once on, have great support, good traction and are very warm! The only complaint I have, is that the top opening is not as wide as the regular deck boots, which makes them harder to just slip on and go. I had noticed that in the few reviews I had read, but wanted to try them anyway. A long handled shoehorn is needed, for me at least. Perhaps the designers thought a narrower opening would make them warmer, but it doesn’t allow for thicker socks. I kept them but probably won’t buy another pair in the future unless the opening is redesigned.

Need better colors!

Love these so much! Just sad the men's are way better in color / wish they would come in smaller sizes. So tired of seeing purple accents on women's shoes.

Tremendous Grip

Tremendous traction on compacted, melted-then-refrozen powder snow. That's the ultimate test of grip. You passed!

Expensive but worth it!

I live in Minnesota and my outside winter activities are limited to walking outside only - I'm not a winter weather sort of gal but I do like to stay upright when I'm walking. These are not beautiful, and they're a bit of a bugger for me to pull on, but I haven't fallen a single time since I've gotten these and I'm thankful. There have been some slippy bits along the way but I've never fallen, the grip is phenomenal and they're warm. I'm very happy with these. A bit pricey but well worth it overall.

Pointed toe cap

Thankful I tried these on before buying. For reasons unknown Xtratuf designed the toe cap to be very pointed and restricted, especially when compared to their other products. No option for a "wide" either. Men's boots were only mildly better, but still very pinchy. As an Alaskan I was excited to get my hands on these. Unfortunately these are a huge disappointment. The price tag is far too steep to just deal with their shortcomings.
