barelytuf. I got these a year ago for bike commuting in the wet. They still keep my feet dry but otherwise I am disappointed. Problems: The rubber trim is peeling away from leather. Doesn't leak yet but I suspect it will soon. There is a plastic stiffener embedded in the fabric/leather in the heel that has cracked and crumbled and is very uncomfortable against my heel. The grey trim at the opening of the boot is smaller than the body of the boot, so it curls inwards and wrinkles. This is just an aesthetic gripe. I have a friend with the same boots that are multiple years old and he has none of these problems. Feels to me like they must have switched to a worse factory or something because the quality is real bad. Not Tuf. I invested in these because my friends rave about them and I wanted to have them for a long time but I'm going to have to get some replacements soon and they will be from a tuffer company.

Multi-purpose waterproof leather boot!
Great boots! Good fit and comfortable. I got them at an amazing sale price too on the Xtratuf website. The leather version is versatile as they can be worn off deck as well and are waterproof without looking like rain boots.

Please save my boots !
I got these because they're stylish without compromising comfort in a professional setting. They seemed like the perfect boot for marine maintenance considering I have years of trust in Xtratuf for all my fishing boots. I only used this pair for a couple months, crawling in bilges and squatting or kneeling while working for extended periods quickly separated the sole and tore thru the toe area. Not sure if mine were defective but they’re no longer waterproof. I’m let down seeing them go to waste so quickly. I would really love to see this exact boot design but the forward 50% portion of the sole comes up about 1inch higher, like a band that wraps around the toe area to reinforce it. I have an old pair of suede V*** BMX slip ons that have the rubber toe. Sad to say they’re still in better shape after a few years worth or hard boat maintenance. The new leather work boot designs that just came out look goofy as hell. Please bring these leather beauties back with a better toe/sole. The right boot with modern style and function would take off, it could be the next “Stefan Janoski”. Please save these boots
