It's okay

I purchased this as it had a stainless steel carafe and has SCA certification. Even with the certificate this coffee maker is nothing special. I do feel the item is over priced for the quality of the unit. This is not a, you get what you pay for scenario.

The oxo 12 cup

If s a high quality product and works well. Its a big consumer if coffee vs my 8 cup maker. Meaning 1. 5 but it requires 2x more coffee to make 12 cups. Likely because the basket is so big. The grey water spout isnt snug and sometimes can wiggle off.

5 stars if the carafe didn't drip

I've now owned this machine for almost a year and it is a prized posession. Easy to use. Fresh taste even if the coffee was brewed a couple hours before consuming. Love the single serve option with just a smaller filter instead of a plastic kcup. The carafe is large enough for 2 heavy coffee drinkers. My ONLY complaint is the drips when you pour. I have tried everything. Tightening the lid, pouring more slowly, pour more quickly. . . no matter what, about 2 tablespoons of coffee drips down the front. It's a nuisance and hopefully something OXO addresses. I would happily get a replacement lid and change my review to 5 stars.
