Printing at it’s Finest.
Easy to set up. Works like a charm. Glad we bought a Brother.

Typical Brother printer...aka garbage
Like all brother printers, this one is a piece of garbage straight out of the box. Screen has a crack in it, drivers failed to install numerous times before miraculously working, paper doesn't get grabbed by the rollers at least 75% of the time. Complete and utter garbage again like all brother printers.

extremely poor value
ink cartridges don't last long and replacements are equivalent to the cost of the printer

Sturdy, serious entry level printer
Great budget printer, once everything is set up, very reliable! Great for tax season!

Sleep Mode
Goes into deep sleep and it’s hard to get documents to print. Otherwise works great.

Good copies, had work to manage
This machine produces good copies but has been brutally difficult to learn to use. My previous four printers have been Brother units, including two very similar to this one. I bought this expecting it to be "plug and play" and have been tangled up in difficult installation tasks. This might be partly because I have just moved to a new house and different ISP but it is still a finicky business to manage the few tasks it performs.
