Surpassed all expectations !

Every type of meat was cooked to the appropriate level and no matter how far I roamed with the remote it did not lose connection to the base unit. The probe wire is thick and sturdy. The programming is intuitive. There are several pre-programmed meat settings, simply select the type of meat and then the level of preferred doneness, and the thermometer sets the correct temperature. If you want to manually set your own temperature, you can do that as well. The base unit and the remote unit both display the temperature. The base unit has a pop out stand on the back and the remote unit has a strong magnet. The range between base and remote is impressive and the tone alert is loud. There’s also a visual alert with the remote it intermittently flashes different colors coordinating with the temperature; blue while it’s cooking, green when it’s within a few degrees of selected temperature and red when it is at or above selected temperature. I am very pleased with the thermometer and so far it is surpassed my expectations!

Great little gadget.

This thermometer is great! I love that I don’t have to stay in the kitchen or by the grill to monitor temperature. I don’t have to squint to see the display and the magnetic handheld is a plus.
