Good Shaver

I had for years an RQ1095 Arcitec (10+ years and I still have it), In my opinion this is the best shaver that Philips ever made!!! I would probably still use it if I could buy spare shaving head for it. Well after trying several replacement heads I did gave up and I got a 7000 series shaver. Do not get me wrong it is a good shaver (batter last long, good clean shave on large surfaces). However I have two design decisions that I personally do not like: 1. Shaving head has too much plastic between the blades and end of the head. This makes it difficult to shave under the nose or make a straight clean cut around the sideburns. The old RQ1095 was so thin that you can precisely cut and shave. 2. The trimmer - flip on design makes it so it can be used in one direction only. The old RQ1095 trimmer design was allowing to be used in any direction and easy to control. Trimmer function is not that important for me, however the shaving head design is a thing that can be improved. I see that the new i9000 has the same design, this is why I hesitate to buy it. If Philips make the shaving head smaller with the future shavers I will gladly buy one.

Ease & features using both models 7000,8000 series

Well I have the Models 7800 & 7900 and being honest I have to yet get a smooth skin shave like I did with just a cheap dry razor shave. So right now I am not to happy with that part of both models, but all of the other features and quality of both I am very happy... If it is better blade heads for both models I will be happy to try them... Thank You For Your Help With This Matter Of Concern..

Good…..but the cube!!

Perfect shaver. I’ve already had a previous one and even used it for shaving in the shower. It’s perfect in every way. However, the Philips Shaving UV Cube is the most useless thing Philips could have come up with. The only reason I was forced to buy it was because the kit included the base, which I find very useful.

The shaver works fine and does exactly what I want from it: to shave my beard. I'm a bit frustrated with the app because I shows that I'm in solid green for most of my shaving yet I'm only ratings in the 50's. I'm satisfied with the shaves that I get and basically just disregard the ratings on the app.

Great product.

As per usual Phillips makes a great electric shaver. It is not my everyday go to when shaving as I much prefer a blade. On those days when time is short it is great to get a quick, easy shave and then go face the world.
