Terrible Design and Low Quality Materials

I have put together beds, sofas, chairs, and shelving units from several different manufacturers. This bunk bed and staircase combination are poorly designed and use low quality materials, especially at the price point. I could have probably paid less than half of what I paid for this bunk and stair set and had something built from higher quality materials that had a more logical design and assembly. There are 134 fasteners, 34 dowels, 36 washers, and 48 individual pieces of wood in JUST the staircase. It's completely unnecessary and the wood material itself scratches and dents very easily. I would not recommend this bed and staircase at this price point.
