Real wood, great first bed

It's real wood. It's easy to our together. It looks great and my daughter loves it. We went from a crib to this and it was a seamless transition. Often mom or dad sleeps on the trundle if she is scared. My kids love to jump from the bed to the trundle and it holds up.

Great Bed for our toddler

Easy to put together. Looks very good. The trundle pulls out pretty easily. The height is really good for our toddler who is on the taller side. I would definitely check for damage after unpacking before assembly. The smell after unpacking lingered for about a week. The off gasing of the stain clear coat was very noticeable. The boxes smelled of cigarette smoke on arrival. If you've read this far I would still highly recommend this bed.

There are some aspects we

There are some aspects we love about this bed and others that we wish were a little better. The color is very pretty and looks really nice, especially in the sun. The actual frame that supports the mattress is solid wood and feels really nice. We also love the extra support beam that runs along the middle of the mattress area! One thing we wish was better is the material used for the slats on the headboard and the panel on the footboard. I’m not sure I would consider these to be the “solid wood” Max and Lily is known for. It feels very lightweight to us and doesn’t have that heavy, solid look or feel we expected. Other than that, we are very happy with the bed!

Hi Karen! We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the bed overall! Just to clarify, the slats on the headboard and footboard panel are actually made from solid wood as well — they’re designed to be a bit lighter for ease of assembly while still providing sturdy support.

For the most part, the

For the most part, the beds are well constructed. However, there is a flaw on the trundle bed. When lying on it all of the straps can be felt and therefore it is not comfortable. I feel there should have been a metal bar for support like the one provided for the main bed. Metal bars were also provided on the top and bottom beds for the bunk beds we also purchased which make both of those beds comfortable. A metal bar support is needed on the trundle.
