We received our percolator a couple of days ago and I absolutely love it! The coffee comes out steaming hot and the flavor is smooth and delicious. You don’t have to, but my son said they use a filter in theirs, so I’ve done that too since I’m using drip coffee. It’s a little more time consuming, but there are no grounds afterwards in the coffee. You can also just wet the bottom of the basket too, according to the instructions. It brings back memories of growing up before Mr. coffee makers came out. I give it a 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone!

Noise
The pot brews great hot coffee. But 10 minutes after the perking ended, there is a whining sound. It is very irritating and lasts for an hour until you unplug it. Kept it plugged in to keep the coffee hot while reading the newspaper. The sound was high pitch.
Fill lines are not very visible
There are no hash marks on the inside of the coffee ground holder to indicate how much to fill per cup of coffee you intend to make. There are hash marks on the outside of the carafe to show how much water to add per cup of coffee, but the handle is covering the majority (2-8 cups). You can still see the fill lines from inside of the carafe, with enough light, as you are filling the water. I do appreciate, however, that there is no plastic involved in the brewing of the coffee.

Hands Down The Best Percolator!
I grew up with a Faberware Percolator. My mother got me the small perc. when I left for college and through more than 50 years it's been the only perc. I have used. I have tried other percs. from time to time but I always came back to the Faberware. There is just something about the quality, design, temperature, and materials they use that crushes the competition. It is incredibly reliable and lasts for years (the one that I am replacing now I had for close to 20 years). It is very easy to get replacement parts if you ever need something. I highly recommend the Faberware Percolator for your consideration. You won't go wrong with purchasing this product.

Big Pot with the Mostest!
We've had the Farberware 8 cup for years. It seems there's never quite enough coffee.... We are thrilled with this 12 cup (and can make less if needed) Old school recommendation!

Top broke in under 2 years
This has been a great machine, up until today. The handed on the top broke and it's only 1.5 years old, and the warranty is only 1 year. VERY disappointing.
It’s only brewing water
I followed the brewing instructions and have even messed around with different grind sizes and different water temperatures and the coffee keeps coming out like brown tinted water.
