My favorite, most versatile pan
Excellent saute pan. Very deep, heavy but not too heavy. Easy to clean, looks beautiful. I use it mostly for sauteeing vegetables and making stir fry.

Not for high heat searing and small…
This pan is beautiful and appears well-constructed. It is much smaller than I expected as I was looking for something larger. This measures about 10 inches in diameter. No dimensions were given in description and my bad for not picturing what “3 QT” size meant. I decided to keep it anyway as I will find some use for it and got it on sale. One other disappointment was the recommendation to use on stovetop with medium heat only or it may discolor and void the warranty. That surprised me as it is oven safe to high temperatures supposedly, and I wanted to use it for searing as well as stovetop and oven cooking. I thought being stainless would make it tolerate higher temps…

This covered deep saute pan is the same great Tramontina stainless steel, just in a deeper covered pan. It's about the same size as the 10-inch fry pan but there's slightly more bottom surface area since the sides go straight up instead of angling out like the fry pans. It's a good size for a family of 3 as we are. My only complaint is the lid is stainless steel instead of glass. I like glass lids so I can see what I am cooking. I do have a stock pot and the lid from that (different brand so I wont name here) fits so we may end up using that when seeing is important. But I love that this matches my other Tramontina pans (quality and style) so I am keeping it!
