Beautiful design
I have waited a few months before giving a review. The crescendo 11--18/10 stainless steel set is everything I was looking for, perfect weight, beautiful design. In some of the reviews they mention spotting when removed from their dishwasher; I had the same problem-- I was using Costco dishwashing soap, I changed to Cascade-no more spots! Very happy with purchase, great sale price.

Look great but not heavy enough
They are a great price and they look great! They don’t weigh as much as you’d think though. When you pick them up they feel almost too light. For the price I decided to keep but something to keep in mind if that matters to you.
Nothing Like The Original Quality
I originally bought this set many years ago and was delighted with them. I decided to buy another set for everyday wear, a couple of years ago. Not even close! The original is made in Japan and the second set in Vietnam. The biggest issue is the knives do not have even a slight serration and are pretty useless. They often come out of the dishwasher with rust marks. I am going to donate them to my church kitchen and look for something else. Very disappointing.

We are very sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. This is not the original Crescendo, which was discontinued in 2002. We have the following suggestions; If water spots, or detergent stains appear on your utensils, you can use the following guidelines for polishing:
Wipe the flatware down with a cloth dipped in vinegar until stains disappear.
Once the stains are gone, clean each piece to remove the vinegar. This should brighten your flatware and bring its luster back. Occasionally, you may choose to use a polish to remove film buildup or staining. Make sure to use polish specifically made for stainless steel.

Stands the test of time!
I've had this pattern as our primary set for more than 30 years! These pieces have held up beautifully, with no chipping, rust or any type of disfigurement, even with daily use. This pattern is timeless and coordinates beautifully with the numerous accompaniments over the last 3 decades. My favorite thing about these pieces is the significant weight of each utensil, providing a secure and considerable hold that does not bend!! My set has slightly dwindled over the years, having lost the occasional spoon or fork, so I definitely appreciate the ease with which single items can be replaced, a true demonstration of the longevity of Crescendo II by Reed and Barton.
