nothing fabulous
Great colors, but otherwise no better than the older tilt-head version and upgrading to 5 quart vs previous 4.5 is absolutely no different for actual capacity. My coated flat beater is chipping after one use

Artisan® Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer
I love my Kitchenaid stand mixer. I've always wanted one and decided now was the time. I don't know how I cooked without it. I use it for cookie dough instead of stirring by hand. My cookies are so much better. I use it to shred chicken, rather than using two meat forks. Perfect every time. This mixer has simplified my cooking and baking life!

This KitchenAid Mixer is phenomenal. We got this mixer as a gift off of our wedding registry, and even though we considered cheaper options to cater to our guests' budgets, it was a no brainer to place the KitchenAid Mixer instead. My mom has had hers for many years and I do not remember her not having it. This mixer has been reliable, has worked great from its first use and has not degraded in functionality since it was first turned on. 100000/10 recommend! P.S. You will get stronger by moving it around ;)

Flimsy, Head bounces when kneading dough
I've had an older model since 1991 (35 years). I just tried to make bread for the first time with this one. I used a medium-low setting. The motor bounced so hard, the screw holding the accessory panel worked loose and the panel dropped into the dough. It dented the bowl little before I could stop it. The lock lever also worked its way toward the unlock position. I had to keep pushing it back to lock. I had to stand there the whole time and push down on the head to keep it from bouncing. This never would happen on my old mixer. Why cheapen your product?
