Fairly easy to put together. Love the look, pretty sturdy. One issue, one shortcoming: 1) Issue: the clasps used to close the trunk ended up pulling OFF the upper piece of wood (only glued) when closed. I liked it enough not to return it, but ended up using wood screws to better affix the upper part - but even then, I don't plan on fully shutting it/still not secure enough. Maybe they need to revise where holes are drilled? 2) Shortcoming: no pads for the feet/can easily scratch floors, and pads don't easily fit so had to jerry rig padding using strips.
