These Alfred Dunner classic pull-on shorts were made of a polyester that I don't think is suitable for shorts of this type. The fabric was more like a blouse fabric - very lightweight and flimsy. They felt strange when I tried them on, rather clingy against my legs. Returned them to Macy's.
